E2150 - Setup Guide for Earth 2150 Multiplayer

Game Versions Played

• The Moon Project [TMP] = v2.2.1
• Lost Souls [LS] = v2.1.1 + Operation X [OPX]

The Moon Project v2.2.1

Steam Installation

1. Download and install the game.
2. Run Setup.exe

1. Start the game and load to the main menu.
   1. you will see it comes with version 2.1, this can be confirmed in the bottom left of the main menu.
2. Patch to v2.2.1.
   1. Run as Administrator.
3. Start the game and load to the main menu and confirm version is now v2.2.1.
4. Now download and run Symlinker (it's just a front-end for the mklink command).
5. In Symlinker, make a directory junction to your game directory, in this example I used “Program Files (x86)”

1. Next Download and Install GameRanger
2. Create an account and log in.

3. Now map GameRanger to the installation of TMP: "Edit -> Options -> Games -> Earth 2150: The Moon Project -> Browse" then select "TheMoonProject.exe" from Program Files (x86)\Earth 2150 - The Moon Project:

Non-Steam Installation

1. Download and install the game.
2. Run Setup.

1. Start the game and load to the main menu.
   1. you will see they come with version 2.1, this can be confirmed in the bottom left of the main menu.
2. Patch to v2.2.1.
   1. Run as Administrator.
3. Start the game and load to the main menu and confirm version is now v2.2.1.
4. Next process to set up Gameranger

Lost Souls & Operation X

Steam Installation

1. Download and install the game.
2. Run Setup.

1. 1. Ensure to set the resolution to a non 16:9 aspect ratio if you dont plan to install EarthTmpExtensions to fix 16:9 bug
2. Start the game and load to the main menu.
   1. you will see its come with version 2.1, this can be confirmed in the bottom left of the main menu.
3. Now download and run the OfflineUpdate.exe.
   1. Run as Administrator.
   2. Using the arrow buttons move down to Versions and change to “OperationX Open Beta v7”
   3. Now choose your preferred language under “Sprache”.
   4. Next hit “Enter”, this will now install the [[E2150_-_Game_Mods#Operation_X_[OPX]|Operation X Mod]]
4. Start the game and load to the main menu, you should see a different menu background and a version v2.1.0.1 is now.
5. Now download and run Symlinker (it's just a front-end for the mklink command).
6. In Symlinker, make a directory junction to your game directory, in this example I used “Program Files (x86)”

Next Download and Install GameRanger

1. Create an account and log in.
   1. GameRanger Getting Started Guide
2. Now map GameRanger to the installation of LS: "Edit -> Options -> Games -> Earth 2150: Lost Souls -> Browse" then select "LostSouls.exe" from Program Files (x86)\Earth 2150 – Lost Souls:

3. Now map GameRanger to the installation of TMP:
   1. In this example the game was installed on the desktop.
