The game comes with outdated version full of legacy bugs. To fix most of the known issues, it is recommended to get one of the community patches. In case of Escape From The Blue Planet, there is just one universal patch. The Moon Project and Lost Souls have separate patches for Single player and multiplayer. Multiplayer patches contain altered balance and mechanics that may not be preferable in SinglePlayer experience. It is still possible to play SinglePlayer campaigns on multiplayer patches.
